Mullins Hall COVID-19 Test Site to Close in Coral Springs

The City of Coral Springs will officially close the Mullins Hall COVID-19 testing site, on Friday, May 14, 2021, after operating in partnership with the Florida Department of Health since May 2020.

Nearly 90,000 tests were given at the popular vaccine testing site since it opened to the public. With a steady decline in persons being tested, greater access to testing, and a decrease in COVID-19 cases, it is no longer necessary to host two test sites in the city.

The Florida Division of Emergency Management will continue to operate its testing site at Ice Den.

“Opening a free, public COVID-19 test site during the height of the pandemic was one of our greatest priorities to identify and prevent the spread of COVID-19,” said Emergency Management Director Alexander Falcone. “The Mullins Hall test site has been one of the most successful sites in the county, and we appreciate the successful partnership with FDOH.”

Residents can continue to obtain free testing at the Ice Den at 3299 Sportsplex Drive, with rapid testing is available. This site is operated 7-days a week, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
