Okeechobee County deputies still looking for suspect in 2020 murder

OKEECHOBEE COUNTY, Fla.  — Sheriff’s deputies in Okeechobee County are continuing their investigation into the murder of a man that took place more than two years ago. They are looking for the suspect or suspects responsible for the homicide.

The Okeechobee County sheriff’s office says that Jesus (Chui) Torres was killed on January 31, 2020, in the front yard of his Playland Park home.

The suspect is a young man of African descent who is described as being tall and thin. At the time of the incident, he was accompanied by two other Hispanic men who were both tall and skinny.

According to the authorities, they were traveling in a dark gray Dodge Charger that had tinted windows.
