Relative is seeking justice for the 2017 murder of a family of three.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Five years after the murder of a family of three in Woodland Acres, a woman from Jacksonville is making an emotional appeal for help.

In 2017, QuaSean Trotter, Ariyan Johnson, and the couple’s baby daughter Arielle were killed in a home.

Trotter and Johnson were fatally shot, and their daughter died of smoke inhalation since the home was set on fire.

Their aunt, Ashley Milton, said that the family is still looking for justice.

“Speak up and say something because you know it was wrong,” Milton said.

The homicides occurred while the family of three was visiting a friend on India Avenue.

Since that day, Milton has been unable to reconcile with the fact that they are gone.

“They were taken, this was not just a car accident… you know stuff that just happens sometimes, but an individual or whoever actually came in and took their life,” said Milton.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has not disclosed any information on a possible motive or suspect in this case. Milton has said that she must raise her voice in order to ensure that the case is not overlooked.

Milton pleads with everyone to “just do what’s right, just do what’s right.”
