Several break-ins occurred in San Carlos Park area

SAN CARLOS PARK, Fla. — About half a dozen vehicle break-ins occurred in the San Carlos Park area between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

The thieves broke into vehicles and even cut the tires of one woman’s vehicle.

They broke into a pickup vehicle and stole $50 before getting away.

The officials reported that there were a handful of credit cards laying around in a ditch.

The public wonders why the alarms did not activate.

“The doors were open and the lights were on. Everything, I didn’t have anything valuable in there but everything was strung out around my car,” said Ashley Turetzkin.

“They were able to break in so it tells me that these kids were either smart or whoever is doing this knows how to pick a lock,” said Rashad Shelton.

A number of residents in the vicinity reported the incident to the sheriff’s office.

They have high hopes that the police will identify the criminal.
