Amazon working to remove gadgets that turn off seatbelt alerts from US and UK marketplace listings

Amazon.com, a giant in the world of online shopping, is taking steps to get gadgets that turn off seatbelt alerts off of its marketplace listings in the United States and the United Kingdom.

According to Reuters, the e-commerce giant made the statement on Friday after taking the same step in India.

” We are in the process of removing the products in question that may have missed our controls,” a spokeswoman said.

According to India’s transport minister, metal clips available for purchase on Amazon.com might be placed into inactive seatbelt locks while a vehicle is in motion.
