According to Florida health officials an additional 1,878 COVID-19 cases and 49 more resident deaths connected to the virus Thursday.
This numbers come a day after the state reported 1,234 new cases Wednesday, which was the smallest increase since late September.
Florida is now up to 2,329,867 cases since the start of COVID-19 pandemic, with 36,973 resident deaths.
According to the latest health department data another 744 non-residents have died in the state with COVID.
The total number of resident hospitalizations attributed to the novel coronavirus in the state is 95,607, but Florida has reached its lowest COVID hospitalization mark in a year.
In the past day 15 deaths are verified in Miami-Dade County, 2 in Palm Beach County and 1 in Monroe County.
At least 10,397,299 people have received COVID-19 vaccines in Florida, with 8,393,060 people in the state fully vaccinated.
The statewide positivity rate for yesterday’s testing was 3.15%.
