Border Patrol, other agencies respond to suspected migrant smuggling operation off Key Largo
KEY LARGO, FLA. – The U.S. Border Patrol and multiple other agencies are investigating what authorities described as a grounded sailing vessel off Key Largo.
Border Patrol, U.S. Coast Guard and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue has responded to the possible migrant vessel near Ocean Reef Club, at around 3 p.m., Saturday.
Border Patrol officials confirmed they have responded to reports of a suspected maritime smuggling event.
Authorities have not disclosed how many people are on board the vessel, as they continue to investigate.
