At Least $23,000 stolen in 29 incidents in Coral Springs

Coral Springs, Florida – According to the Coral Springs Police Department, at least $23,000 was stolen in 29 incidents of fraud, shoplifting, and other thefts during the week of June 16 – 22.

Five people were arrested for theft-related charges during that time.

Retail theft

– June 21, West Atlantic Boulevard, Estimated loss: $3,909

– June 22, N. University Drive, Estimated loss: $4,537 

Shoplifting

– June 17, Home Depot, 750 N. University Drive, Estimated loss: $200

– June 17, West Atlantic Avenue, Estimated loss: $2,166

– June 21, Dick’s Sporting Goods, 8921 W. Atlantic Boulevard, Estimated loss: $164 

Identify theft

– June 16, NW 56 Court, Victim: woman, 78

– June 18, Terrapin Lane, Victim: woman, 46 

Theft from auto

– June 16, no address provided, Estimated loss: $2

– June 17, no address provided, Estimated loss: $748

– June 18, no address provided, Estimated loss: $5

Fraudulent use of credit card

Theft arrests (Those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty.)

– Derrick Woodard, 58, arrested on a charge of petit theft.

– Philip Milton, 31, arrested on a charge of grand theft.

– Jordan Cranston, 21, arrested on a charge of petit theft.

– Joseph McNamara, 26, arrested on a charge of petit theft

– Naveen Saddi, 49, arrested on a charge of shoplifting/petit theft.
