One arrest made after officer involved incident

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — At the intersection of Moncrief Road and Edgewood Avenue West, there were at least 25 police vehicles and SWAT units on the scene.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, there was an officer-involved incident in the neighborhood, but all of the officers involved were safe and unharmed. A suspect is now being held in police custody.

At this moment, both Edgewood Avenue and the Edwood & Moncrief Center commercial area are off-limits to pedestrian traffic.

The JSO requests that motorists stay away from the area.
