Teenager wounded in Holiday Hill area expected to recover
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — According to the police, a gunshot occurred in the Holiday Hill neighborhood, which is located between Arlington and Southside. The victim, a teenager, is now recuperating in the hospital. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating this incident as a possible drive-by shooting with a specific target in mind.
At around 10:40 on Tuesday night, police were seeking an automobile of a light color that was seen in the area of 7100 Crane Avenue. In relation to this incident, the JSO has not recorded any arrests.
The police say that they are now talking to the victim and other witnesses to find out why the crime was done.
At around 10:30, the JSO received a report of a gunshot on 1000 University Boulevard North while they were responding to a shooting on 7100 Crane Avenue. This second incident occurred a few miles away. The woman was found with a gunshot wound at the second location, according to the patrol officer who found her.
According to the notes taken by the JSO’s recap team, witnesses observed a person get out of a vehicle on Crane Avenue and begin shooting at the victim before getting back in the car and driving away. After the shooting, the suspect got back into the car and drove away.
The victim’s injuries were not considered life-threatening when JFRD rushed them to the hospital.
