Dallas-based organization, Texas Baptist Men, provides help to disaster zones for decades
Over the past weekend, a dedicated team of disaster relief volunteers hailing from Texas Baptist Men embarked on a journey from Dallas to Little Rock, where they have pledged to provide essential aid and comfort to those affected by a deadly tornado that recently rampaged through the city.
David Wells, the Director of Disaster Relief for the group, expressed that they have been vigilantly monitoring the weather and had volunteers on standby, with all necessary equipment at the ready, in case of emergency. The initial deployment crew consisted of a command center and a large generator.
Texas Baptist Men’s relief efforts in Little Rock were centered around assessing the damage caused by the tornadoes. Additional volunteers are set to arrive in the upcoming days, armed with power tools and a mobile kitchen, to aid in the ongoing relief efforts. According to the mayor, the damages in Little Rock are extensive, with over 2,000 homes and businesses having been destroyed or damaged.
