Around 20 families displaced after a lightning strike sets fire to an Orange County apartment building

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – About 20 families had to evacuate their apartments in the Hunter’s Creek area on Tuesday night after a lightning strike was reported to have started a fire.

When firefighters arrived, the structure, which was a part of the Osprey Links Apartment Complex, had flames pouring through its roof and eaves, according to the authorities who oversee firefighting operations.

The fire was put out shortly after it started, but the aftermath resulted in the relocation of around 20 households, according to the authorities.

According to OCFR’s statement, they have asked the Red Cross for help relocating families who have been affected.
