Authorities investigating man’s death at Jacksonville home

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Crime scene investigators and the murder section of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office were sent to a residence on the Westside after a man died of injuries he received Tuesday evening.

According to Sgt. Henson of the Sheriff’s Office, authorities were sent to 103rd Street and Woodland Estates just before 7:30 p.m. They reported that a guy had been “cut by an unknown instrument.”

“He was transported to a local hospital, however, life-saving measures were unsuccessful,” Henson said.

The sergeant said that police were scouring the area for suspect information. No arrests were reported immediately.
