Bayside Park’s ribbon-cutting ceremony rescheduled for August 30

Bayside Park has been completely renovated, but residents of Fort Myers Beach will have to wait a bit longer to celebrate.

The Town of Fort Myers Beach has rescheduled the August 26 ribbon-cutting event for August 30 at 9:30 a.m.

Officials said in their statement that the decision was made to prevent conflicts with the Swing Out of Summer Golf Tournament, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce.

The renovations started in January. The renovation of Bayside Park is one of three projects sponsored by a $10 million loan. Bay Oaks Recreational Campus and Time Square will also undergo renovations and enhancements.
