“Glow in the dark” Menorah parade on Sunday
Coral Springs, Florida – The Chabad of Coral Springs has been crucial in the community this year, especially with their ongoing food distributions during the Covid-19 pandemic. As Chanukah approaches, they have planned ways to hold safe celebrations for all.
On Sunday, December 14, they will hold a “Glow in the Dark” Menorah parade, followed by a drive-in LED lights and robotics show that is sure to light up the city with Chanukah pride.
All cars with menorahs are welcomed to be included as part of the procession, and all other cars may follow behind.
Onlookers are welcome to park in the free garage at City Hall, at the Chabad Jewish Center on 11325 W Atlantic Blvd to see the parade drive-by or where the procession will end, at the Coral Springs Sportsplex, where the remainder of the event will take place.
All attendees must in their cars, ensuring a safe, socially distant way to celebrate while still gathering with neighbors and loved ones.
There will be Chanukah refreshments and surprises along the parade route, and the Chabad will also be putting together Chanukah packages and giveaways to attendees.
To ensure everyone can receive a Chanukah package, the Chabad is asking attendees to RSVP online.
The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. December 13, at the Chabad of Coral Springs, located at 3925 N University Drive, and the parade will depart from there at 6:15 p.m.
The route will pass City Hall, then the Chabad Jewish Center, and finally, at 7:00 p.m., the procession will arrive at the Sportsplex, located at 3299 Sportsplex Drive.
