Helicopter crashed in Sarasota County

SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. — Sheriff’s deputies have responded to a small helicopter crash in Sarasota County.

The crash occurred at the Myakka River State Park in the vicinity of State Road 72 and the 15900 block.

According to investigators, a small Robinson helicopter crashed just after 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

According to reports, no one was injured and both occupants escaped unharmed.

The FAA will be in charge of the investigation.
