Investigators getting closer to Iientifying man who robbed Publix Store

Coral Springs, Florida – According to the city’s police chief, Coral Springs police are getting closer to identifying the man who robbed a Publix store this week, making off with about $1,000 after holding two employees at gunpoint.
“We’re pursuing leads right now and hope to wrap that up,” Chief Clyde Parry said.
According to police, shortly before 7:30 a.m. on Monday the man walked into the Publix store at 11600 West Sample Road, demanded to speak to a manager, and then pulled out a gun and forced his way into the store’s office where he took the money.
No one was injured, police said.
According to Parry, the robbery “appears to be something that was well-thought-out and well-planned”.
Investigators haven’t seen patterns of this type of crime in nearby cities, the chief said.
“Typically you have copycats in different cities,” he said.
Parry didn’t offer any more information about the robbery.
