Man accused of a 1990 double murder allowed to provide footprints after sending a letter to judge

FORT MYERS, Fla.  — Joseph Zieler, who is suspected of murdering Robin Cornell, who was 11 years old at the time, and her nanny, Lisa Story, in 1990, was given approval to provide footprints.

In a letter sent in the middle of July, Zieler asked Judge Robert Branning to retest all of the DNA evidence in the case.

A forensic analyst will look at Zieler’s footprints and compare them to the ones found at the crime scene.
