Police are searching for the blue Nissan and its driver who shot in Mercedes in Miami-Dade

Miami-Dade County, Florida – According to Miami-Dade police reports, officers are investigating a shooting that left one man injured Tuesday afternoon. The police believe it was a road rage incident.

According to incident report , the shooting was reported in the area of Northwest 76th Street and 24th Avenue, however Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel were sent to the 9100 block of Little River Drive to treat the patient.

Officials were above the scene shortly before 12:30 p.m. and spotted a white Mercedes-Benz that had bullet holes in the front passenger-side door.

The vehicle had been parked outside a home in the area.

The only person in the car, was wounded in the leg and transported to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

According to authorities the road rage incident started less than three miles away, in the general vicinity of NW 27th Avenue and 78th Street.

Miami-Dade police said the Mercedes cut off a blue Nissan, and that at some point the driver of the Nissan rolled up beside the Mercedes and started shooting.

The blue Nissan and its driver are searched by the police. If you have any information, you are urged to call 911 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
