Two people rescued from ocean following a small aircraft crash

MARATHON, Fla. – According to reports from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, a small aircraft went down in the ocean on the Gulf side of Marathon in the afternoon on Friday.

According to Linhardt, two people who were on board were picked up by some good Samaritans. According to him, they did not sustain life-threatening injuries.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is conducting an investigation into the incident, and the Sheriff’s Office has informed the Federal Aviation Administration about it.
