Woman sentenced to life in prison in connection with the 2019 death of 5-year-old daughter transferred to Department of Corrections
Brianna Williams, who was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison in September for the murder of her five-year-old daughter Taylor, was transferred to the Department of Corrections on Monday, according to court documents.
The former petty officer is now being held in the women’s assessment center in Ocala. This is where criminals usually stay for a long time while they are being checked out before being sent to another place.
Taylor Williams’ remains were found in a remote part of Alabama a few days after she had been reported missing.
Brianna Williams, who is 30 years old, has been given credit for having served 1,043 days. She was first charged with child negligence as well as lying to authorities, but in March of this year, she entered a guilty plea to second-degree murder.
